About

As a Psychotherapist based in Vancouver, Canada, I offer online and in-person sessions, working with people of all genders, orientations, and backgrounds. At the heart of what I do is deep listening. This means, I not only hear your words, but I attune myself to the meaning and emotions underneath them. I want to understand who you are, so together we can explore the issues, concerns, and patterns that are impacting your life. With the integration of evidence-based therapies, I create a gentle yet deliberate pace that supports your own inner exploration, healing, and personal growth.

Over the past two decades, I’ve worked in non-profits, public policy, consulting, social justice, and the arts, both nationally and internationally in rural and urban settings. My work has been grounded in relationships with Indigenous communities, newcomers, and a wide range of people across society. I decided to pursue a career in counselling psychology out of a profound desire for clarity: to listen deeply to my environment, to others, and within the self.

I am no stranger to pain. I understand that life does not always go in the direction we want. And I have benefited immensely from the therapy that I have received throughout my life. From this, I have learned that it takes a great deal of courage to live authentically.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, Member of the Adlerian Psychology Association of BC, and a 2024 Launchpad Fellowship Recipient. In my personal journey, I have drawn strength from my relationships built in community and from matriarch leaders. This education has informed all aspects of my life, including my work as a counsellor. I have also enjoyed education in institutional settings and have completed several advanced degrees and trainings. These include a Master of Counselling Psychology from Adler University, a Master of Arts in Acoustic Communication from Simon Fraser University, Internal Family Systems (IFS) training, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Observed & Experiential Integration (OEI).

To fuel my creative spirit, I have an active Sound Art practice, I produce podcasts, and I recently started doing stand-up comedy. I also grow a garden. Being in or on the water with family and friends brings me great joy and I love hanging around on boats.

My journey has taken me around the globe from Denmark and New York to coastal communities in South Africa and British Columbia. However, I was born and raised on Vancouver’s North Shore, in the territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, where I am now based and rooted. These lands and waters have shaped who I have become and how I belong to the world. I am grateful for the people who have stewarded these territories for tens of thousands of years, so that we can be here today.
